The YMCA AfterSchool Program is for goes beyond simply supervising children. It is dedicated to creating a secure and nurturing setting where your children can thrive, fostering their education, personal growth, and social development. Our program boasts a rich tradition of nurturing children's physical, mental, and emotional well-being. We offer a distinctive curriculum that incorporates educational and character-building materials to equip children with the wisdom, support, and motivation required to unlock their full potential. We offer transportation from two schools in Highlands County, Woodlawn and Cracker Trail, or you parents can opt to drop their children off.

Recognizing the challenges posed by teacher work days and single-day holidays in school calendars, we acknowledge the importance of providing a solution for parents. Enter our SchoolDaysOut* program, a comprehensive full-day childcare initiative offered by the Y on such occasions. This program, available to all, ensures that children are engaged in enriching activities throughout the day, providing parents with a reliable solution during these school-related breaks. Moreover, on early release days, we go the extra mile by offering extended care at no additional cost, further demonstrating our commitment to supporting families in navigating their diverse scheduling needs.

Each week in our program is carefully designed to offer a rich and diverse array of activities. These activities are thoughtfully curated to cater to different interests, skill levels, and age groups. From engaging educational projects to creative arts and crafts, physical activities, and team-building exercises, our goal is to ensure that every child has the opportunity to explore their passions and develop new skills. With a new and exciting lineup of activities each week, we strive to keep the experience fresh, engaging, and full of opportunities for growth and fun. Whether it's a science experiment, a sports challenge, or a creative workshop, there's something for everyone to look forward to as we make each week a unique and enriching adventure for your child.
